SAMPLE MONSTERS

The Jolrhos Bestiary is split up into three volumes, of which only the first is available so far.  That first volume deals with odd and unusual creatures, monsters that are not typical to your average collection or are unique to the Jolrhos setting.  In time, the second volume will come out with monsters that are more usual and typical, but distinct to the Jolrhos setting - orcs and dragons and so on.

This page has a few samples from that upcoming book, available for free download as very basic monsters a GM can use for a more standard fantasy role playing campaign.  Each has a full pdf of the 6th edition Hero character sheet.

DRAGON

A basic representative dragon, not ancient nor as powerful as they can get, but the younger, rash, and still quite dangerous sort.

GIANT SPIDER

There are no "giant x" creatures in the Jolrhos setting, they have names (this is the Cavern Crawler), but this will do for any generic Giant Spider build.  Full pdf character sheet

GOBLIN

This is a basic Goblin Warrior, small, not very tough, but clever and agile and sneaky to make up for it.

ORC

A basic Orc Warrior, tough and big and mean, and a match for most characters one-on-one.  For an extra challenge, put some armor on the brute.

SKELETON

Your basic animated human skeleton, a disposable warrior for the necromancer.  Fairly durable and dangerous but not too difficult to take down.

TROLL

Big, mean, nasty, and scaly brute that lives under bridges and heals very quickly.  Very dangerous to face, and very lethal.

WARG

A giant, clever wolf with an awful bite, useful for giving goblins a deadly mount or Orcs a pet.

ZOMBIE

Stupid, slow, and easy to detect, but tough and cheap for Necromancers to use.  Zombies are mindless rotting corpses.
